MATH WARS:
What: It's a fun math-themed game show contest. Teams of 1st and 2nd years compete against each other in the ultimate math showdown. This year it will be Jeopardy style with different categories for different kinds of math questions.
Who: Only 1st and 2nd years can compete. The level of questions will be based on high school and first year math. Teams of 1-3 are allowed. EVERYONE is welcome to come be an audience member!
Free stuff: EVERYONE get's free pizza and drinks and awesome goodie bags. There are also sweet prizes for audience members who can answer some random math questions throughout the show. These include gift cards, tastey treats, and Math&Stats swag.
Grand Prizes: The team who wins the whole contest gets $200! Second and Third place get $100 and $50 respectively.

When: Thursday February 9th at 6:30pm

Where: BSB B136.

Teams AND audience members must sign up online (only those who sign up will be guaranteed free pizza!)

November 2011 - Bulldogs Fundraiser

The Math & Stats Society is teaming up with the McMaster Gymnastics team in a joint effort

to try and fundraise to host future events for you. We will be selling tickets to a Hamilton Bulldgos

hockey game at the 30% discounted price of $18. Please support our society by purchasing a ticket.

 

General info about the game:
When: November 15
Time: 7:30pm
Where: Copps Coliseum
Who: Hamilton Bulldogs vs Peoria Rivermen
Price: $18 (regular price is $26)

Tickets can be purchased from the society during office hours from 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM in Hamilton Hall infront of the Math Cafe.
